Personality: The one who can be most expected to be staring at me with all his attention, at any given time. Still young, he is most playful and energetic, and wanting to be alongside you.
– When he was 4 months old, before any real training took place, we were on one of our first off-leash walks through the fields. Very unexpectedly, he found a dead bird, brought it to my feet, and dropped it there…
– Children’s voices, children at play, get his attention more than anything. He wants to be with them, playing with them. They make him happy.
– He, without a doubt, expresses those amazing Golden Retriever traits of loyalty, joyfulness & playfulness, along with that strong willingness to please and to learn.

Training: English, as a puppy, participated in two 6 week canine group training classes. He enjoys our regular training sessions with treats, and more so for the individual attention he is given. Leash training has been ongoing, and as with all the training, improvement is continuous, regular and positive. I can’t wait to see him as an adult, as it is clear already that everything he is taught along the way, becomes ingrained in his habits, and they only need to be reinforced and encouraged to achieve our goal of harmony.

General health: English has grown from a puppy into a very happy young adult with no signs of any troubles along the way. All veterinary checkups, as well as general overall observation, show him to be in everyway healthy as can be.

Genetic health: English has been genetically tested. He has been found to be free of all of the most common genetic health conditions that can be analyzed through these tests, and which are most relevant to the Golden Retriever breed.
