Personality: Blueberry at 3 months of age would always be the first one lying at my feet while I sat and read or listened to music. But she was the energetic one, always wanting to be out front. Very playful, and knowing what she likes.
– As mild as the dogs are, she did become the “dominant” one; if you can even describe it as such. But if there is a new toy, rag, or interesting stick, she will have first claim to it, until the others know it, and she finally tiers of it.
– As much as she pretends to be the boss at home; a very playful and loving one. Once off her terrain and on other land, she is the one to naturally show the most gentleness, calmness and good behavior toward strangers, little children, and respect to other’s belongings. She’s a good girl, who will get you with her blueberry eyes.

Training: Blueberry’s out front and excited attitude, had us working our leash training. But once she let me know that the problem wasn’t that she didn’t know what I wanted, but that I didn’t know what I wanted, we then got into a groove. And now we continue to perfect each other in all aspects of training and mutual understanding. As all our dogs, and Golden Retrievers in general, she wants to please.

General health: Blueberry has grown from puppyhood to her young adult self without any signs of health troubles along the way. All veterinary checkups, as well as general overall observation, show her to be in everyway healthy and happy.

Breeding health: Her behavior through her first litter was amazing. From a calm mating, through a patient pregnancy, where she learned to slow down and measure her energies. To an active and attentive, on her own whelping. And a very committed raising of the puppies through different distinctive periods of time and behavior that where devoted to specific stages of their development. Ending with her teaching them fun-play and self confidence as the 7th and 8th weeks approached. She never missed a beat along the way.

Genetic health: Blueberry has been genetically tested. She has been found to not be effected by any of the most common genetic health conditions that can be analyzed through these tests, and which are most relevant to the Golden Retriever breed. The tests show that, happily, her and English should produce puppies that are free of all these diseases.
